Shaped and painted entirely by hand in the Gasoline Création studio in Villecroze, “The Song of Ithaca” is a porcelain portrait inspired by maritime tales, inner journeys and imaginary horizons.

The face, drawn in a free and minimalist line, seems to emerge from a cloud of fish painted in carmine red oxide. Like an invisible current, they surround the portrait and bring a silent movement to the composition, somewhere between depth and lightness. The black lines of the hair interact with this multitude of forms, creating a graphic world where poetry meets symbolism.

Evoking journeys, returning to one’s origins and the search for self, “The Song of Ithaca” invites everyone to imagine their own voyage. An artwork where reality gives way to imagination, true to Gasoline’s artistic universe.

Each portrait is entirely shaped and painted by hand. The nuances of the oxides, firing reactions and natural variations of the porcelain make every piece truly unique.
