This stoneware sculpture is entirely handcrafted in the artist’s studio.
Black Venus celebrates the female body through a free, generous and instinctive representation. The silhouette, deliberately raw and unconcerned with anatomical perfection, highlights the curves, strength and sensuality of the body.
The dark clay, accented with small touches of light, reinforces its primitive and almost earthly character. Traces of modelling and natural irregularities in the material are intentionally preserved, revealing the artist’s hand.
A free, earthy and deeply human female figure, carrying within it something wild and sacred.
